Who authorized that agent? A mining company will have to prove it.

Uses of AI in predictive maintenance, safety and the detection of environmental anomalies are already described in mining. AI agents may soon act in those systems. Today, Unica records every act of an agent under the authorization of an identified person, in a signed record, in the mining company’s own cloud account.

A person, seen from behind, faces a wall of monitors showing camera views and diagrams.

The problem

A mining company already answers for every work order, every report and every access. Soon it will answer for its agents’ acts too.

A large or medium mining operation already keeps records the authorities can ask for: of safety and accidents, of its contractors and their training, of environmental compliance and of its closure plan.

When an agent opens a work order, takes a piece of equipment out of service, escalates an environmental reading or denies a worker access, the inspector, the auditor or the board will ask the same question a supervisor is asked today: who authorized it, under which rule, and how it is proven. If the answer depends on the model provider’s logs, it is not enough.

A worker in a helmet with a lamp and high-visibility clothing walks beside a truck in an underground tunnel.

How it works

Four steps, all with a signed record.

  1. Authorization

An identified person authorizes the agent for one function. That authorization is revoked with immediate effect.

    Today

  2. Agent act

The agent acts under that authorization, and each act stays tied to the person who gave it. Refusal of acts outside that authority comes in 2027.

  3. Signed record

Who acted, under whose authorization, and when. Every record is signed: a later alteration breaks the signature.

    Today

  4. Verification

Today, the signed record stays in the mining company’s own cloud. Verification on one’s own machine, without access to Unica, comes with the verifiable evidence package: as a service in 2027 and as a product in 2028.

Two limits today

  • Model residency

Strict model residency in Chile is not available today: the latest models are served from São Paulo. The data does stay in the customer’s cloud account.

  • Team size

Teipsum is a team of four people. Delivery is through local partners.

  • Use cases
